Dear colleagues, ladies and gentlemen,

It is a great honor for me to invite you on behalf of the Organizing Committee to the Arthroscopy Congress in Košice, which will take place on 26–27 September 2024. The main organizer of the Congress is the Department of Musculoskeletal and Sports Medicine, Faculty of Medicine of the UPJŠ University and the AGEL Košice-Šaca Hospital, who is also part of the Košice-Šaca FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence. This interesting project was created thanks to the support of the International Interreg Hungary – Slovakia Institute and the AGEL ACADEMY in order to contribute to building good relations within the cross-border cooperation between Slovak and Hungarian experts.

The Congress is intended for orthopaedic surgeons, traumatologists and sports physicians who are interested in arthroscopy and sports medicine. The main topics of the Congress are knee arthroscopy with a focus on modern trends in the treatment of menisci, cartilage, multiligamentous injuries. The second block of lectures will focus on arthroscopic shoulder surgery, with special attention to shoulder instabilities and rotator cuff injuries. The final block of lectures will be devoted to the wrist and elbow, where, in addition to arthroscopic surgery, we will also present new trends in the treatment of elbow and wrist injuries.

The aim of the Congress is to present new procedures and trends in arthroscopic surgery, to bring practical workshops and discussions with leading experts, to watch live knee and shoulder joint surgeries. The main objective is to strengthen mutual cooperation and exchange of knowledge between Slovak and Hungarian experts.

The Congress will include an interesting social program, and for foreign participants a short tour of the Košice city center.

I am convinced that we will succeed in creating a pleasant social atmosphere and a high professional level of the Congress.
